Selection of Vice President, Member-Relations and Development
The Hotel Association of New York City is pleased to announce the selection of Niki Franzitta as Vice President of Member Relations and Development.
During nearly 15 years of experience as an attorney at Kane Kessler, P.C., she represented hotels and other clients in a variety of complex labor and employment related matters and participated in several negotiations for the Industry Wide Agreement.
As Regional Director of Labor Relations for Hyatt Hotels since 2014 she oversaw all labor relations matters for unionized hotels in this region. Apart from guiding and making recommendations to senior hotel management regarding contract interpretation as well as compliance with all relevant labor and employment laws and regulations she was Hyatt’s lead negotiator at collective bargaining agreements and also oversaw the entire labor relations process for hotels under her remit.
Besides the wealth of knowledge that Niki brings on the labor relations front, she has a breadth of experience in human resources, OSHA, ADA, and federal and state labor law issues. In this new and expanded role at HANYC Niki will also be focusing on other labor functions with a city wide focus on human resource development. These include training and recruitment seminars as well as professional networking, all of which will be of immense benefit to HANYC’s ,members.
Niki will bring her considerable talents and skills to bear on HANYC’s new positioning as the go-to resource for NYC’s hospitality industry. including the development of a stronger, wider and more inclusive membership base.
