Opportunity to participate in a food and waste loss innovation lab June 7th and 8th
Dear HANYC members:
Cornell
University, in collaboration with Frog Design and City & State New
York, and with support from the Rockefeller Foundation’s Yieldwise
program, will hold a Food Loss & Waste Business Innovation Lab that
enable teams from participating companies to explore and develop a
project or idea that can help lead to a business opportunity. More
specifically, attendees will participate in a frogThink Workshop
throughout the Lab which will provide the opportunities for
participants to learn about and apply new concepts under the guidance
and mentorship of Frog Design experts, Cornell SC Johnson College of
Business faculty, Rockefeller Foundation Yieldwise program managers,
and other food waste and innovation subject matter experts. The Lab
promises to provide participants relevant tools that take advantage of
cross disciplinary problem-solving techniques. Interspersed among
activities will be a series of speakers who will share compelling
experiences of business innovation related, but not limited, to food
waste/loss challenges.
Space
is limited and preferably but hotel F&B departments are likely to
benefit by participating particularly if a business project/idea of
theirs is the focus of attention during the lab. There will be an
online registration page for participating team members details of

Dates:
June 7 & 8, 2017 (there will be an optional, informal networking
event June 6th with a private screening of the new documentary Wasted! (The Story of Food Waste)
