Cybersecurity Seminar Recap

On Monday, June 19, 2017, the Association sponsored a Cybersecurity seminar for all member hotels.  As you may, or should know, the Hotel industry is second only to retail in facing cybersecurity incursions.
The seminar was extremely informative.
Kane Kessler's Corporate, Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity team laid out the legal and regulatory landscape affecting hotels;
A representative of the FBI's Cybersecurity Task Force addressed how law enforcement seeks to protect against and respond to breaches;
A principal of Rubenstein, a national public relations and crisis management firm, discussed how Hotels should prepare for and respond to a cyber-attack, internally among employees, executives and shareholders; and externally to the press, customers and others.
An executive from a national insurance company explained insurance coverages for cyber threats.
It was disappointing that many Hotels did not avail themselves of this extremely informative seminar on such an important topic.
The Association will be sponsoring seminars in the upcoming months on a wide range of topics of interest to all hotels. We hope that you will attend and benefit from the information provided.
